Head Coach for Tsunami Swim Team

Hello Tsunamis!

My name is, Sofia Bouzos, and I have been given the wonderful opportunity to Head Coach for my third summer here at Sutter Lawn. I am looking forward to another successful and exciting summer season with the Tsunamis! I am from Walnut Creek, and recently graduated from Sacramento State.  My future plan is to become a Kindergarten teacher. Although I am not a Sacramento native, I have experience as both a coach and an athlete for multiple aquatic sports teams in the Bay Area.

I have been a competitive athlete my whole life in a variety of different sports, which has taught me many different techniques and approaches to coaching styles. I was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, and then transitioned into Synchronized Swimming for 5 years. I was a member of the Walnut Creek Aquanuts, where I traveled all over the world to compete nationally and internationally. We were granted an opportunity to appear on the TV show America’s Got Talent, where we made it all the way to the live shows! During this time, I was swimming and playing water polo and for Carondelet High School. As for coaching, I was a coach in both the gymnastics, swimming, and synchronized swimming world. I have had the opportunity to witness and learn from a wide variety of coaching styles, which has formed me into the coach I am today.

I thoroughly enjoyed my past two summers with the Tsunamis, and cannot wait for you to see the plans that I have for this summer! If there are any questions, comments, or concerns I can be easily reached by cell phone (call/text) at (925) 817-0784, as well as by email at sbouzos@yahoo.com
